Crash Data Retrieval (CDR)

What is a Crash Data Retrieval (CDR)?

Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) is a process that involves extracting, analyzing, and interpreting data from a vehicle’s Event Data Recorder (EDR) or other onboard data recording systems following a crash. Most modern vehicles (See Supported Vehicles) are equipped with various sensors and systems that capture detailed information about the vehicle's performance, driver actions, and environmental conditions before, during, and after a collision. This data can include:

  • Vehicle speed

  • Brake application

  • Steering input

  • Throttle position

  • Seatbelt usage

  • Airbag deployment

  • Impact forces

At FESNYS, we utilize the Bosch® Crash Data Retrieval toolkit and software to access and download this critical information that can help reconstruct the events leading up to, during a crash and shortly after.

By leveraging this service, we can access this crucial data and provide you with invaluable insights and support, whether its a legal dispute, insurance claim, or simply seeking to understand the factors contributing to a crash. Order a CDR Report now or contact us to learn more.

Note: Data can be retrieved from an airbag module even if the airbags did not deploy.
